About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hematologist to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with blood disorders and cancers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Treat Blood Disorders: Conduct thorough medical evaluations to diagnose and treat patients with blood disorders, including anemia, bleeding disorders, and blood cancers.
  • Conduct Research and Stay Up-to-Date: Stay current with the latest medical research and advancements in the field of hematology, and participate in clinical trials and research studies as needed.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other medical professionals, including oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, taking into account their unique medical needs and circumstances.
  • Provide Education and Support: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques, and provide emotional support and guidance throughout the treatment process.
Requirements
  • Medical Degree: Must hold a medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Board Certification: Must be board certified in hematology or a related field.
  • Experience: Must have at least 5 years of experience in hematology or a related field.
  • Language: Must be fluent in English.
