Academic Medical Oncologist Position

The Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology at the University Health Network are seeking a Medical Oncologist with expertise in Early Phase Therapeutics and Clinical Genomics. The successful candidate will have a passion for the medical care of cancer patients and a strong interest in teaching and quality improvement. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team in the management of patients with solid tumour malignancies and work in collaboration with the clinical genomics and early-phase clinical trials programs within a comprehensive cancer centre setting. The successful candidate must be a Medical Oncologist and be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the management of patients with solid tumour malignancies
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical trials and research programs
  • Engage in clinical, translational, or basic research
  • Teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels

Requirements:

  • MD and FRCPC qualifications and Medical Oncology specialist designation
  • Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Strong interest in teaching and quality improvement
