We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our specimen collection process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner, explaining the specimen collection process and ensuring they have followed necessary test protocols.
- Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings with precision and accuracy.
- Collect and prepare specimens for transportation and testing, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, test results, and specimen collection data.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, clients, and healthcare providers through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy experience and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
