Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at VCA Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, coaching and mentoring our veterinary team, and driving business growth and development.
About the Role
- Provide expert medical guidance and support to our veterinary team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
- Develop and implement effective coaching and mentoring programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our veterinary team.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to drive business growth and development, including financial performance and operations.
- Partner with our recruitment team to attract and retain top talent in the veterinary field.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our hospital's strategic plan.
- Engage with our veterinary team to foster a culture of teamwork, exceptional client service, and continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a veterinarian, with a strong background in medical leadership and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our veterinary team, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and ability to drive business growth and development.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire our veterinary team.
