The ideal candidate for the Medical Director position will be confident and excited about building a strong team that aligns with our values. Some key responsibilities include:

  • Along with your main role as lead veterinarian, providing expertise to ensure optimal patient care; coaching teams in the realm of wellness plans, preventative and overall patient care.
  • Review and enhance protocols when required according to regulatory requirements
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and exceptional client service.
  • Partner with hospital leadership to assess financial performance and operations, addressing areas for improvement and celebrating achievements regularly
  • Engage in recruiting efforts for qualified Veterinarians through externships, referrals, career fairs, and DVM student summer program hires
  • Work with leadership to build and lead a high-performing team of veterinarians and technologists/technicians, employing effective leadership and coaching practices.
  • Contribute to performance evaluations and lead coaching sessions for all team members, emphasizing client education on wellness plans and preventive care.
