About the Role:
Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Technologist to join our dynamic Diagnostic Imaging team at the Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre. As a Medical Radiation Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients and families at various stages of their cancer journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate in one or more of the specialized, highly technical environments of General Radiology, assessing patients, analyzing, and interpreting diagnostic data, and providing information to the Radiologist to assist in diagnosis and patient management.
- Work with a high level of independence, utilizing your expertise to ensure efficient and safe services across all shifts and on-call as required.
- Rotate through Foothills Medical Centre and Richmond Road Diagnostic Treatment Centre's DI departments, gaining valuable experience and expanding your skill set.
Requirements:
- Completion of a diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist program.
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- X-ray experience.
- Mammo experience.
