Occupational Therapist II, Acute Rehab Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist II to join our team in Acute Rehab. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert care to patients with complex needs, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to identify areas of need and develop targeted interventions.
- Design and implement occupational therapy programs to promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being, incorporating evidence-based practices and innovative strategies.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to establish realistic goals and develop effective communication strategies.
- Document patient progress, outcomes, and treatment plans, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to healthcare teams.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, contributing to patient care planning and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community resources, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
- Two years of recent experience in pediatric or adult rehabilitation, with a strong focus on acute care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and work collaboratively with diverse patient populations.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, practices, and research, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
