Occupational Therapist

BC Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist II to join our team in Acute Rehabilitation. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality occupational therapy services to our patients, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify patients' strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patients' independence and participation in daily activities.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions.
- Document patient progress, including assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes, to inform best practices and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in occupational therapy and acute care.
- Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy and licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
- Two years of recent related experience, including one year in pediatrics or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- 50 hours of postgraduate coursework or training in additional procedures, techniques, and job functions for acute care.
