Job Title: Industrial Plant Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Plant Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Del's Pastry Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and machinery.

Work Environment

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with a focus on maintaining and repairing industrial equipment and machinery. You will work at heights, in noisy conditions, and be exposed to odours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in industrial equipment and machinery
  • Construct foundations for machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery and operate machining tools to fabricate parts
  • Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and install machinery and equipment
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
Requirements
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement
  • Experience with automated and robotic systems, conveyor systems, electrical and electronic controls, fans and blowers, gas and air dryers, heat exchangers, high-speed packaging equipment, hydraulic systems, industrial and stationary engines, lathes and other machining tools, power tools, pumps and compressors, forklifts, and hand tools
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and a team player
