About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Crop Farm Labourer to join our team at Sandhills Seed Potatoes Ltd. for the upcoming harvest season.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to ensure optimal crop growth
  • Clean crops to maintain high quality standards
  • Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, colour, and volume to maximize market value
  • Clean work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
  • Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in a rural area with dusty conditions.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Standing for extended periods and bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Ability to handle heavy loads (more than 45 kg/100 lbs)
