Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Administrator to join our team at Egis Canada. As a key member of our Contract Administration Division, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Construction Inspectors to ensure compliance with contract documents and quality standards.
  • Review and understand relevant OPSS and contract special provisions to ensure accurate interpretation.
  • Inspect construction operations to verify compliance with contract documents, quality, and safety standards.
  • Verify quantities, prepare progress reports, and maintain documentation to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
  • Review, interpret, and analyze the contractor's critical path schedules to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Reconcile progress payments in a timely manner and maintain compliance with prompt payment requirements.
  • Proactively identify issues, recommend mitigation measures, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Promote and oversee compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare reporting, quantity measurements, claims, and payment certifications to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
Requirements
  • Fully bilingual (French and English) is mandatory.
  • University degree or College diploma in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Contract Administrator, Resident Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, or Assistant supporting these roles is essential.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D being an asset.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills are necessary.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to changing project requirements is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment is required.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to site locations within the area is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered ing. with OIQ and in good standing is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Contract Administrator, Resident Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, or Assistant supporting these roles on at least two (2) previous projects is required.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Rail, Transit, and/or road construction projects is essential.
