About the Role:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the transition of patients from hospital to home or community. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing initial and regular health assessments to maintain patient quality of life
  • Supporting the development of individualized care plans that focus on the patient's functional abilities and support network
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care of patients
  • Ensuring compliance with the Philosophy of Service and patient care plan to ensure optimal health and wellness for each patient
  • Managing patient medication in accordance with legislative requirements
About You:

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has a Diploma in Practical Nursing and is currently registered with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
  • Has comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Is available to work a schedule of flexible hours and all shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Has advanced proficiency in the English language and proficiency in other languages is considered an asset
  • Can provide a CPR & Emergency First Aid Certificate, Clear Criminal Record Check, and Vulnerable Sector Screening upon hire
