Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team at Accoravillage. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our quality assurance team and ensuring that our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Quality Assurance Team: Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance the skills of our quality assurance technicians.
  • Ensure Quality Compliance: Work closely with the quality assurance manager to ensure that our quality systems are implemented and compliant with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct Regular Inspections: Identify conformance to and deviations from quality standards, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Manage Laboratory Key Performance Indicators: Track and manage laboratory KPIs with a focus on continuous improvement objectives.
  • Support Regulatory and Customer Audits: Ensure readiness and compliance during regulatory and customer audits.
  • Manage Maintenance and Calibration Programs: Ensure that laboratory and production equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Develop and Implement Quality Procedures: Develop and implement quality procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Operations Management: Work closely with operations management to promote and drive a strong food safety culture.
  • Provide Support during Investigations: Provide support during investigations for supplier NC and customer complaints.
  • Manage Deviations and Corrective Actions: Manage deviations and corrective actions related to internally and externally identified non-conformances.
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Science, Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in a quality assurance, quality control role working in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven supervisory or managerial experience; leading, coaching, and developing a team.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, processes, and regulations in a food production plant. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in order to communicate complex issues clearly. Ability to build collaborative relationships by developing, maintaining, and strengthening partnerships with internal stakeholders. Excellent technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Ability to analyze data and generate value-added insights. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with quality management systems and related software is advantageous (Salesforce, ERP).
