About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Gravel Truck Driver to join our team at H&R Dhesi Transport Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting gravel and aggregate materials to various construction sites across the province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Drive lighter, special purpose trucks, including dump trucks, to transport goods and materials.
  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, including checking tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Route Planning: Plan and execute routes to ensure timely delivery of materials, while also considering factors such as traffic, road conditions, and weather.
  • Logistics and Administration: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs, to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols, including those related to hours of service, weight limits, and cargo securement.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Hold a valid Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles).
