Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medicine department at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care strategies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and hospital processes.
- Current College of Nurses certificate of competence.
- Current certificate in BCLS & ACLS.
- Certified to start IV's and give IV meds.
- Defibrillation and Cardiac pacing certification required.
- Coronary Care Course or equivalent.
- CVADS (Central Venous Access Devices) and lead ECG preferred.
- Recent experience in medical nursing including palliative care.
- Well-developed assessment skills necessary.
- Commitment to serve in capacity of charge nurse.
- Satisfactory performance and attendance required.
- Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date.
- Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired.
- Superior communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills necessary for effective patient and staff interaction in a busy, demanding environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education and performance development (including focus on palliative care) to contribute towards achievement of unit goals and objectives.
- Must be available for all three shifts, and weekends, as per department schedule.
