Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Department

Groves Memorial Community Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Department team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including ECGs and lab results
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in nursing or equivalent
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Experience in emergency nursing or a related field
  • Strong clinical knowledge and skills, including ECG interpretation and IV therapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
