About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our environmental services group, you will play a critical role in addressing environmental and contaminated lands issues for our nuclear clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigations and Remediation: Conduct a range of investigations and remediation works related to nuclear or conventional contaminants, including supporting the remediation verification program at Port Hope and acting as the qualified person for this work.
  • Project Management: Manage other projects related to the nuclear industry, such as research assignments, risk assessments, groundwater evaluations, or permitting requirements.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients to scope potential works, resolve issues, and promote WSP's services.
  • Technical Excellence: Maintain excellent field notes, perform and record work tasks efficiently and accurately, and adhere to current industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Professional Certification: Hold a professional certification (P.Eng., P.Geo).
  • Relevant Experience: Have 10 years or more of relevant working experience in the field of environmental site assessment, with working knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Have experience related to radiological contaminants, dose assessment, radiation protection processes, and/or associated instrumentation.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills (verbal, written), strong attention to detail, and a passion for health and safety.
