Join Our Team as a Part-time Housekeeper

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our housekeeping team as a part-time housekeeper at the Pickering Casino Resort and Casino Ajax. As a housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitization duties of assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping, general cleanup, vacuuming, debris removal, and waxing of floors.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, complying with safety procedures and using required safety equipment.
  • Identify and report any trip or fall hazards, wet floors, or stairs, and ensure hallways and access routes are free of debris and waste.
  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ensure duties are carried out in compliance with departmental or internal control manual policies and procedures.
  • Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and highest caliber of customer service and respect to all patrons, employees, and casino personnel.
  • Maintain general awareness of gaming operations at all times and comply with security policies and procedures to secure company assets.
  • Adhere to all AGCO, GCGC, departmental, and HR policies as they relate to functions of the role.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education.
  • Requires experience in the related field of one (1) or more years.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, guest service, and communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
