About the Role

PepsiCo is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our Fleet Operations team in Winnipeg, MB. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our equipment, enabling our people to service our customers and deliver our beloved consumer brands to market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned
  • Diagnose vehicle failures and perform mechanical repairs and replacements as required
  • Respond to local road calls and/or coordinate service support as necessary
  • Maintain work area appearance and safety
  • Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
  • Leverage predictive diagnostic software to aid in eliminating vehicle breakdowns
  • Use hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities through asset management system
  • Complete all necessary documents, including eHOS and electronic vehicle inspection records
Requirements
  • Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certificate
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Working knowledge in use of hand tools is required
  • Commercial Vehicle Inspection certificate (MB) is preferred
  • Valid Class 1 / AZ Operators License is preferred but not required
  • Dedication to safety
  • Strong computer and mathematical skillset
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
