Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Thrive Group Canada. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our clients in a transitional program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the health status of clients and provide nursing services within a defined scope of practice.
  • Ensure the security and safety of clients, staff, and guests by monitoring the building and taking appropriate action in emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Document client information and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a vocational, college, or other approved program for licensed practical nurses and registration with a regulatory body.
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Practical Nurses Registration Examination and possession of a current Registered Nursing Certificate of Competence for the Province of Ontario.
  • Knowledge of Behaviour Strategies is an asset.
  • Experience as an RPN working with persons with a disability and the senior population is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use tact and discretion and display professionalism at all times.
  • Certification in health and safety and first aid is considered an asset.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job such as lifting and transferring of residents.
