Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Thrive Group Canada. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring the health status of clients within our transitional program, which may include seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing services within a defined scope of practice.
  • Monitor the building to ensure the security and safety of clients, staff, and guests; and take appropriate action in an emergency situation.
  • Availability for 8-12 hour shifts and every other weekend.

Requirements
  • Completion of a vocational, college, or other approved program for licensed practical nurses and registration with a regulatory body required.
  • Must have successfully completed the Canadian Practical Nurses Registration Examination and possess a current Registered Nursing Certificate of Competence for the Province of Ontario.
  • Knowledge of Behaviour Strategies is an asset.
  • Experience as an RPN working with persons with a disability and the senior population is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use tact and discretion and display professionalism at all times.
  • Certification in health and safety and first aid is considered an asset.
