Job Summary:

As a Part-time Registered Practical Nurse with Thrive Group Canada, you will be responsible for monitoring the health status of individuals with disabilities and the senior population. You will provide nursing services within a defined scope of practice and ensure the security and safety of clients, staff, and guests. In the event of an emergency, you will take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a vocational, college, or other approved program for licensed practical nurses and registration with a regulatory body are required.
  • You must have successfully completed the Canadian Practical Nurses Registration Examination and possess a current Registered Nursing Certificate of Competence for the Province of Ontario.
  • Knowledge of Behaviour Strategies is an asset, and you may be required to pursue a certificate in bliss symbols and/or sign language.
  • Experience as an RPN working with persons with a disability and the senior population is an asset.
  • You must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • You must demonstrate the ability to use tact and discretion and display professionalism at all times; demonstrate sound judgment and flexibility and be able to solve problems effectively.
  • You must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, including lifting and transferring of residents.

Job Type: Part-Time, permanent.
