About the Role

AECOM is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Graduate to join our Bridges team in Markham, Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting structural engineering designs, calculations, and sketches under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct structural engineering designs, calculations, and sketches under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Use computer software to solve basic engineering problems.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.
  • Contribute to the writing, typing, editing, and/or formatting of technical letters and reports.
  • Prepare and review contract specifications, including cost estimates and quantities.
  • Undertake site inspections of structures.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
  • 1+ years of structural design experience working with Canadian codes and design standards.
  • Familiarity with bridge components and design.
  • Experience designing in steel, concrete, and wood.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard structural analysis and design software, such as SAP2000, MIDAS, SAFE, ETABS, and STAAD PRO.
  • Competence in MS Office.
