About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team at Goldlane Homes Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Forms and Scaffolding: Assist in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Assist in mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assist in Drilling and Blasting: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Assist in Framing and Building: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Level Earth and Pave: Level earth to fine grade specifications and pave and rake asphalt.
  • Clean Up Spills and Debris: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Tend to Equipment: Tend to or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Under Pressure: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks as required by the job.
Physical Demands
  • Weight Handling: Lift and carry loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
