In the role of Regional Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships with clients and promoting our services. This position demands a proactive approach to building strong connections with customers, suppliers, and team members while ensuring the quality, compliance, and financial viability of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Integrate health, safety, and environmental practices into all projects, collaborating with local and corporate teams to support incident investigations as necessary.
  2. Promote the company’s services to both existing and prospective clients, advising them on innovative products and seeking new business opportunities.
  3. Establish and maintain strong client relationships, striving to exceed financial performance metrics and optimize cash flow through strategic planning.
  4. Collaborate with management to prepare project proposals, manage contracts, and secure necessary approvals prior to client engagement.
  5. Coordinate project scheduling using relevant software, ensuring successful execution and resource allocation for current and future projects.
  6. Support project execution to meet desired outcomes, maintain positive relationships with technicians, and monitor project costs to enhance profitability.
  7. Ensure that all work meets the company's quality standards, enforce safety policies, and provide training to staff, including apprentices and new hires.
  8. Document project progress meticulously, including approvals, billing, change orders, and reporting, ensuring timely project closure.
  9. Lead and motivate field staff and partners, exemplifying accountability and a commitment to achieving excellence.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a leadership role with a strong understanding of electrical, building, and municipal codes.
  • Exceptional sales, marketing, and networking capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience in electrical engineering or related fields, with a background as an electrical foreperson or estimator.
  • Knowledge of the electrical service industry.
  • Certification as an Electrician or relevant degree/diploma.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry standards and practices.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and embrace flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to problem-solving and ownership of tasks.
  • Strong time management skills, capable of prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in necessary computer applications.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to travel as required for business purposes.
  • Familiarity with the data/communication industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of engineering software and skills is a plus.
