Collaborating with a dynamic and high-achieving team, this role offers diverse responsibilities and will involve:
- Supporting strategic initiatives aimed at federal sector and private industrial clients.
- Providing senior leadership and mentorship in the execution of environmental remediation projects.
- Collaborating within multi-disciplinary project teams, offering environmental guidance to other GHD divisions.
- Staying updated on best practices for innovative remediation techniques.
- Overseeing design projects, including project teams, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Managing the development and review of technical environmental reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Engaging in local, national, and global projects, which may occasionally require travel to support other GHD office locations.
- Mentoring junior team members in a collaborative and educational environment.
What you will contribute to the team:
- Over 15 years of relevant experience.
- Accreditation as a Professional Engineer in Canada or the United States.
- A degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- Possession of a designation for stamping/certifying designs; additional designations are considered advantageous.
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategies for complex remediation and/or risk management.
- Experience in the technical delivery of investigations, designs, including drawings and specifications, and construction support for environmental remediation projects in Canada and the United States.
- A commitment to providing high-profile clients with responsive and innovative solutions.
- Experience with Canadian and/or US Federal projects is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability in client advocacy and building trusted relationships with regulators.
- Strong understanding of Canadian (including Ontario) environmental legislation.
- Familiarity with US environmental legislation is considered a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong report writing capabilities.
- A solid commitment to excellence in client service.
