Key Responsibilities:- Process loan applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Review credit reports, income verification, and other relevant information to assess creditworthiness.
- Make informed decisions to approve or decline loans, considering company policies and risk factors.
- Communicate with branch managers and sales staff to provide rationale for loan decisions.
- Identify and report potential fraudulent activity to the appropriate departments.
- Verify customer information, including income, credit ratings, and loan amounts, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with the Central Loan Approval Office to identify training opportunities and improve processes.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Intermediate level MS Office skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- A fundamental understanding of the mortgage origination process, considered an asset.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and Saturdays, to provide cross-country support.
- Bilingual (French/English) is required.
