Job Overview

Join Colonial Countertops Ltd. as a Tile Installation Specialist. We are seeking a dedicated professional to enhance our team with expertise in tile setting.

Position Details

Work Setting

This role involves providing on-site customer service, ensuring client satisfaction through quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces for tile installation
  • Create rough plans and sketches for tile layouts
  • Position tiles accurately and apply pressure for secure adhesion
  • Ensure tiles are aligned and straightened properly
  • Utilize hand and power cutting tools to cut and fit tiles around obstacles
  • Guide and instruct apprentices in tile setting techniques
  • Construct underbeds and install necessary support structures
  • Handle and install marble and granite surfaces
  • Install tile strips as required
Supervision

Responsible for overseeing 1 to 2 apprentices or junior staff.

Safety and Security
  • Must be bondable
Transportation Requirements
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Access to a personal vehicle is necessary
Physical Demands
  • Role is physically demanding, requiring handling of heavy materials
  • Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Ability to distinguish colors and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong hand-eye coordination needed
  • Ability to manage a large workload effectively
