Job Overview:

Lehigh Hanson is in search of a dedicated, safety-conscious, and reliable Millwright to enhance our maintenance team. In this role, you will be tasked with the preventative upkeep and repair of all mechanical systems on-site, ensuring optimal operation of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance, repairs, and replacements of mechanical systems and related equipment.
  • Perform on-site inspections to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, responding effectively to malfunctions.
  • Proactively anticipate potential problems and suggest improvements.
  • Utilize machining tools to fabricate necessary parts.
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks on all mechanical equipment.
  • Refer to manufacturer manuals to establish maintenance protocols.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations, as well as company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Valid interprovincial or Red Seal Millwright certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in using appropriate tools.
  • Competent computer skills.
  • Physical capability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy loads, occasionally exceeding 75 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, kneeling, bending, and working at heights.
