Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Logistics and Inventory Management Specialist to play a pivotal role in our operations. This position is essential for enhancing our supply chain efficiency and ensuring optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for plant material and supply chain management that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Identify and utilize tools, processes, and performance metrics to streamline material flow.
  • Collaborate with management to assess and fulfill the supply requirements of production units.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of monthly inventory reports to pinpoint areas for improvement and execute necessary changes.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee cyclical inventory processes, ensuring effective stock measurement and year-end inventory tasks.
  • Supervise and mentor unionized staff in accordance with collective agreements.
  • Provide operational support and strategic guidance to maximize productivity.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field with a focus on materials management or supply chain.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in material and supply chain management within a manufacturing context.
  • Extensive experience in supply chain and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Infor LN, in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in implementing warehouse management systems.
  • Knowledge of total quality management, Six Sigma methodologies, and project management principles.
