Child Care Coordinator

Join the YMCA of Greater Vancouver team as a Child Care Coordinator and make a difference in the lives of children and families.
About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child Care Coordinator to lead our Child Care programs at the YMCA Chetwynd Care & Learning Centre & School Age Program. As a Child Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for building relationships with children, families, and staff, ensuring compliance with Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA BC Child Protection Policies, and delivering high-quality programs based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:- Build relationships and provide exceptional customer service to children, families, and staff.
- Ensure all programs are operating in compliance with Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA BC Child Protection Policies.
- Work with the team to deliver high-quality and age-appropriate programs based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
- Maintain confidentiality of information related to the centre, children, families, and staff.
- Develop and distribute required documentation to necessary parties.
- Engage and build a team dedicated to excellence.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A current BC ECE IT License to Practice, or ECE who is willing to obtain their ECE IT.
- 3 years' leadership experience in child care and child development.
- 4 years' experience in child care and child development preferred.
- Experience leading an effective, engaged team will be considered an asset.
- A current child care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Three satisfactory professional references.
