We are seeking a highly skilled Brake Development Lab Engineer to join our team at RGBSI. As a key member of our Engineering Systems Development - Chassis / Body-in-White department, you will be responsible for directing activities in our Brake Development Lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain two brake-end dynos and one full-size chassis dyno, including associated test setup and reporting.
  • Supervise unionized personnel, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Take and analyze data using the Laser Vibrometer and Caliper Test Stand.
  • Participate in other departmental activities, including vacation coverage for the Corrosion Teardown lab.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of vehicle suspension and braking systems.
  • Experience with Team Center and NX software, as well as Link ProLink software suite.
  • Previous experience using a coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
  • Strong time management, leadership, and planning skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Work Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of engineering experience in a testing environment within the automotive industry.
  • Supervisory experience, with the ability to lead a team of workers.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada, with the ability to travel to the USA.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons, midnight shifts, and weekends.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
Education
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering.
