**Job Summary**

Canada Post is seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our team as a Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier - Relève en disponibilité. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to various communities.

**Responsibilities**

  • Deliver mail and packages to customers in a safe and timely manner
  • Operate a vehicle in various weather conditions and road conditions
  • Interact with customers in a positive and courteous manner
  • Sort, collect, and distribute mail and packages in a secure and efficient manner
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
  • Treat various products and services of Canada Post (change of address, damaged mail, delivered bills, etc.)
  • Wear Canada Post identification while delivering and collecting mail and packages from customers
  • Lift and transport articles up to 50 lb (22.7 kg)
  • Have experience in deliveries and using a vehicle in various weather and road conditions

**Requirements**

  • Have a safe driving record
  • Hold a valid permanent provincial driver's license
  • Have a minimum cargo space of 50 cu. ft. (1,415 liters)
  • Have an automatic transmission
  • Have electric windshield wipers
  • Have a metal roof and an additional power outlet to install a Canada Post panel and a flashing light
  • Have a passenger window opening between 38 in and 45 in from the floor and a maximum interior width of 56 in
  • Have a fifth door or hatch to allow for the loading of oversized and bulky items (preferably)
  • Provide and maintain the required automobile liability insurance
  • Notify your insurance company of the use of your vehicle for employment with Canada Post
  • Have a safe driving record
  • Hold a valid permanent provincial driver's license
