Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Fort McMurray. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of mechanical equipment in our pipeline facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment, including installation and repair of complex systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent and Journeyperson Mechanical or Millwright certification with interprovincial certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of related industrial experience and a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Working Conditions
  • Based in Fort McMurray, with frequent travel to various locations within the region.
  • Shift work, including 7 on/7 off shifts and on-call responsibilities.
  • Work in a mix of field and office environments, with exposure to hazardous or restricted locations.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
