Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Fort McMurray. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical equipment efficiently in good operational order and working to minimize throughput losses within our pipeline facilities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform major maintenance and repair functions within the mechanical trade.
  • Install and repair complex equipment.
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of Enbridge Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide recommendations for performance improvements.
  • Work with significant independence on standard assignments.
  • Assist with complex tasks requiring guidance.
  • Assess situations to ensure they are safe to perform work required.
Requirements
  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or GED equivalent and Journeyperson Mechanical or Millwright with interprovincial certification.
  • Minimum 3 years related industrial experience.
  • Class 5 drivers' license in good standing.
  • Good interpersonal, communications, and interactive people skills.
  • Understanding of technical drawings.
  • Analytical skills for problem analysis.
  • Ability to undergo various background screening.
Working Conditions
  • Based out of Athabasca Terminal in the Fort McMurray area.
  • Shift work, on a 7 on/7 off shift (12-hour shifts) days. Night shifts on an on-call basis.
  • Mix of field (~80%) and office (~20%) environments.
  • Work in hazardous or restricted locations.
  • Working on and around high voltage equipment.
  • Frequent travel and on-call responsibilities.
  • Working on equipment situated at heights.
