Granite Cutter

We are seeking a skilled Granite Cutter to join our team at Reliable Granite Inc. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for cutting and processing granite blocks and slabs to meet our high standards of quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Blade or Wire Saws: Safely operate blade or wire saws to cut granite blocks to specified dimensions, ensuring accurate cuts and minimal waste.
- Grinding and Polishing: Operate machines to grind and polish the surfaces of granite blocks, slabs, or other stone products to achieve a smooth finish and precise specifications.
- Drilling and Finishing: Operate machines to drill holes in granite blocks or slabs according to specifications, and finish stone products with spray paint and by mounting plaques or installing concrete bases.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in diversity and cross-cultural training programs to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
- Support for Veterans: Engage in awareness training to promote a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
- Support for Indigenous People: Participate in cultural competency training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Engage in diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced fabrication department with a focus on quality and precision, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn the skills required for the role.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
