Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated Portfolio Optimization Lead to be part of our Integration Management Office (IMO). This individual will report directly to the Vice President of Integration Projects and will play a crucial role in developing and managing the integration plan for the incorporation of Sunwing into the WestJet Group.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee the portfolio integration strategy, ensuring alignment with project milestones, activities, costs, schedules, and resources.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify interdependencies and prioritize tasks across multiple programs.
  • Establish and maintain the schedule, resource, and cost baselines, adjusting as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
  • Communicate portfolio progress, risks, and key decisions to executive leadership and other relevant parties.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in progressively responsible roles across major projects.
  • Proven experience in leading enterprise-level projects utilizing various methodologies, including agile and waterfall.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software such as MS Project, Jira, and Tableau.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of influencing senior leadership and collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
