Landscape Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team at JAYS BLADE & SNOW SERVICES INC. as a key member of our outdoor maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Cut grass and perform other lawn care tasks to ensure a healthy and safe environment.
  • Rake and collect refuse, removing litter and garbage to keep our outdoor spaces clean.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials to enhance our landscapes.
  • Lay sod or seed to create lush, green areas.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to add beauty and vibrancy to our outdoor spaces.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain their health and appearance.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Shovel ice and snow from track switch boxes to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Plan, organize, and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal.
  • Perform snow maintenance operations, including handling snowmaking and snow removal equipment.
Work Environment:

As a Landscape Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions. You must be able to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
