Landscape Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team at JAYS BLADE & SNOW SERVICES INC. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our properties and landscapes are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance
  • Cut grass and perform other lawn care tasks to ensure our properties look their best
  • Rake and collect refuse, removing litter and garbage to keep our outdoor spaces clean
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials to enhance our landscapes
  • Lay sod or seed to repair and maintain our lawns
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to add beauty and vibrancy to our outdoor spaces
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure our team has the tools they need to do their job
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to keep them healthy and thriving
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure our properties are well-maintained
  • Shovel ice and snow from track switch boxes to ensure safe and accessible outdoor spaces
  • Plan, organize, and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal to ensure our properties are well-maintained and secure
  • Perform snow maintenance operations, including handling snowmaking and snow removal equipment, to ensure our properties are safe and accessible during the winter months
Work Environment:

As a Landscape Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions. You must be able to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail in a manual dexterity role.
