Landscape Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team at JAYS BLADE & SNOW SERVICES INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our outdoor spaces, ensuring they are clean, safe, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a healthy and well-manicured appearance.
  • Cut grass and perform other lawn care tasks to ensure our outdoor spaces are well-maintained.
  • Rake and collect refuse, removing litter and garbage to keep our areas clean.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Lay sod or seed to repair and maintain our lawns.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance our outdoor spaces.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to keep them healthy and thriving.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure our outdoor spaces are well-maintained.
  • Shovel ice and snow from track switch boxes as needed.
  • Plan, organize, and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal.
  • Perform snow maintenance operations, including handling snowmaking and snow removal equipment.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain high standards.
  • Perform repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads and working in physically demanding conditions.
  • Use manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
  • Bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks.
