We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Manager to join our A&W team. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of food service staff and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and quality food.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and establish methods to meet work schedules.
- Customer Service: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, address customers' complaints or concerns, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Operations: Prepare budget and cost estimates, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports.
- Staff Management: Hire food service staff, supervise and check assembly of trays, and supervise and check delivery of food trolleys.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
A&W is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. As a Shift Manager, you will be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Public transportation is available.
Personal Qualities- Client Focus: Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and staff.
- Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well in a team environment and provide guidance and support to staff.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
