Maintenance Worker - Building

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Brantford Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our building and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and waste.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Work Environment: Work in all weather conditions, and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
