Maintenance Worker Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Concept Plastics Limited. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks, and ensure that all equipment and machinery are in good working order.
  • Other Duties: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas, repair machine tools and parts, and maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
