About the Role

As an Electrical Engineering Intern at BBA Consultants, you will join a multidisciplinary team of electrical, automation, and telecommunications specialists in the Digital Power Systems group. This team is equipped with a lab and test equipment, and is focused on executing digitalization and modernization projects in the control, protection, and automation sectors for electrical substations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Participate in engineering projects based on IEC 61850 standards for digital power systems.
  • Perform testing in the BBA digital power systems lab.
  • Configure smart electronic devices (relays, substations controllers, etc.).
  • Design substation HMI/SCADA.
  • Participate in detailed engineering (protection and control diagrams, lists, technical documents).

Certifications and Requirements

  • Undergraduate student in Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to read plans and schematics.
  • Asset: student registered with the Institut en génie de l'énergie électrique (IGEE).
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French).
