As a leading provider of consulting engineering services, BBA has a strong reputation for delivering innovative solutions across various industries. We are committed to fostering a collaborative and stimulating work environment where talented individuals can thrive and contribute to our success.
Your Role:
- Lead the execution of engineering projects adhering to IEC 61850 standards for digital power systems.
- Assume diverse roles, including project manager, project leader, and proposal leader, driving project success from conception to completion.
- Develop compelling and value-added proposals that showcase our expertise and capabilities.
- Effectively manage project work packages, schedules, budgets, and teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Design protection diagrams (logic and control diagrams) for power systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry best practices.
- Architect and configure substation HMI/SCADA systems, optimizing performance and user experience.
- Configure intelligent electronic devices (relays, substation controllers, etc.), ensuring seamless integration within the digital power system.
- Lead testing activities at BBA's state-of-the-art digital power systems lab, validating system functionality and performance.
- Spearhead the commissioning of digital power systems, ensuring smooth integration with existing infrastructure.
- Share your technical expertise with colleagues across BBA's offices in Canada, contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Promote our expertise through client meetings, technical documentation, blog articles, white papers, and other communication channels.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in power systems engineering, with a proven track record of success in digital power system projects.
- Strong understanding of the latest applicable technologies for electrical substations.
- In-depth knowledge of IEC 61850 standards and their application in digital power systems.
- Proficiency in substation automation and control systems (SCADA).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
