Security Officer

This position requires a public relations person who has good communication skills, as they must politely interact with all staff, management, horse people, trades people, visitors, and patrons. The successful candidate will possess:
- Secondary School Graduation Diploma
- Some experience in the related field
- Organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
- Knowledge of computer application packaged and mathematical skills
- Security License & Smart Serve are required
The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all building and grounds are secure and hazard-free with regular patrols. They will also monitor all coming and goings of keys, goods, and personnel. Additionally, they will provide front-line service for escorts, cut-offs, first-aid situations, races, and assist outside emergency crews and maintenance when required. The Security Officer will be a team player and cooperatively assist fellow security officers when needed. This job does require you to work around horses.
