Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team at Decent Painting & Decorating Ltd. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation and finishing, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a professional appearance
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to meet project requirements
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a stable structure
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, including outdoors, and will be exposed to dusty and noisy conditions. A physically demanding role, the Drywall Specialist will be required to work for 40 hours per week.

Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
