Position Overview

As a Ground Transportation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the logistics of transporting essential supplies to meet the operational needs of scheduled flights. This position demands efficiency and professionalism in a dynamic environment, ensuring that all tasks are completed within strict timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble catering units according to airline specifications and schedules, adhering to established deadlines.

• Engage actively in the Safety Management System (SMS) to promote a culture of safety.

• Conduct inventory checks in compliance with airline standards.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements set forth by relevant authorities.

• Participate in the company’s Safety Management System, reporting any hazards or incidents encountered during operations.

• Maintain the safety and security of the warehouse environment at all times.

• Assist in the organization, cleaning, and storage of equipment and supplies.

• Handle food and goods with care, ensuring accurate loading and unloading procedures.

• Inspect catering deliveries, including temperature checks, to ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Operate material handling equipment safely, performing routine checks and maintenance.

• Follow all company and airline policies diligently.

• Transport and manage the loading and unloading of catering units from the warehouse to the aircraft.

• Maintain constant communication with catering staff and airline representatives as necessary.

• Oversee the turnaround activities of aircraft to ensure efficiency.

• Deliver services within established service level agreements while prioritizing safety.

• Uphold the safety and security of all personnel involved in operations.

• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.

• Valid driver's license is required.

• Must be eligible to work in Canada on a permanent basis.

• Clear criminal background check is necessary.

• Ability to obtain required security clearances and permits.

• Capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 70lbs regularly.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Completion of airline-specific training programs is mandatory.
