Department: Finance
Job Overview
The City of Nanaimo is in search of a temporary full-time Financial Analyst. Reporting directly to the Manager of Financial Planning, the selected candidate will be tasked with the organization, management, and oversight of the budgetary systems and related documentation for the City. This role requires collaboration with various City personnel, fostering cooperation and gathering necessary information to effectively contribute to the financial planning model.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue potential grant funding sources available to the City.
- Collaborate with different departments to apply for and manage various grants.
- Ensure compliance with grantors' requirements for application submissions and funding claims.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a recognized British Columbia Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) and have a minimum of four years of experience in diverse and complex accounting practices within a computerized setting.
Compensation
This position is part of a union agreement, offering a competitive rate of $56.68 per hour, based on a standard 35-hour work week. The duration of this vacancy is expected to conclude in June 2025.
