About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Booking Clerk/Secretary to join our Physiotherapy team at Sechelt Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide scheduling and booking services for patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Manage appointment calendars, maintain schedules, and prepare client/patient information.
  • Perform clerical duties, including data entry, typing, and maintaining records.
  • Provide reception services, greet clients/patients, and direct them to appropriate areas.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and forward messages to healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain departmental equipment, supplies, and filing systems.
  • Perform timekeeping functions for designated staff.

Qualifications
  • Grade 12, two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively, communicate verbally and in writing, and organize work.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
